About The Position

Maintain the facility and equipment to accommodate production and warehousing in a safe working atmosphere. Act as front-line leaders for technical knowledge on highly complex automation or equipment problems. Work with outside contractors and vendors for maintaining equipment and inventory. Communicate with Technical Supervisor and other ORBIS personnel all activities that affect safety, quality, or production. Train co-workers while developing harmony in the workplace.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs that may pertain to maintenance of the equipment or building.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements of all equipment.
  • Troubleshoot any issues of mechanical devices, correct issues to maintain productivity/quality standards.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts, fabricate parts when needed, adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Control downtime by communicating with all departments.
  • Train other employees and new hires as needed.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in safety activities.
  • Participate in safety and communications meetings as scheduled.
  • Complete all safety and company compliance training on time and according to schedule.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, conserve resources when able.
  • Prepare maintenance reports, document, and communicate actions, irregularities and continuing needs through the use of EAM.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).
  • Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
