About The Position

The Maintenance Technician C is a senior-level maintenance professional responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on plant equipment. This role works independently with minimal supervision and provides guidance and technical support to junior maintenance technicians. The Maintenance Technician C plays a critical role in ensuring optimal equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment preferred).
  • Experience with balers, conveyors, and processing equipment.
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
  • Able to follow instructions for operating equipment and record keeping
  • Able to execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
  • Able to maintain a clean & safe environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs in accordance with Circular policies and all safety and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) requirements.
  • Execute and lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure plant equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Diagnose, adjust, repair, or replace fixed and rolling stock equipment including, but not limited to, balers, conveyor systems, gearboxes, electrical motors, machine shafts, rollers, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics and technical manuals.
  • Provide training, direction, and technical support to Maintenance Technician A and B team members.
  • Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term corrective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work area in compliance with Corporate and OSHA standards.
  • Participate in facility improvement projects and equipment installations as needed.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to support operational needs and emergency repairs.
