Requirements

  • Vocational diploma in Technical engineering or related discipline (pre-university level).
  • Certification required in forklift operation.
  • Overall work experience of 3 to 5 years in manufacturing or plant operations (experience in matrixed organization preferred).
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English in order to complete documentation.
  • Good knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP and Excel tools.
  • Mathematical aptitude: Ability to perform electrical and mechanical conversions, numeric estimates and computations for size, speed, feed, dimension, and tolerance.
  • Basic plasma and oxy-acetylene torch cutting ability.
  • Intermediate understanding of electric motors, rotation, windings, operation, and all major motor/motor system troubleshooting and testing procedures.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting up to 480VAC.
  • Intermediate Rigging, hoisting, and machinery placement.
  • Conduit bending and wiring, adjust, rebuild, replace or modify machines, parts fabrication on the engine lathe, welding and cutting.
  • Evaluate, design and test new equipment, provide daily, weekly and monthly reports, write, complete and verify work orders, input, update and modify maintenance program and participate in lean activities.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and equipment for installation, disassembly and testing of electronic, pneumatic and electrical devices.
  • Good mechanical and/or electrical abilities within e.g. welding, plumbing, pipefitting or electrical areas.
  • Ability to draw/sketch/redline standard machine and process drawings, write and provide simple and accurate instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine troubleshooting and/or repairs of production and facility equipment, proactively identifying and resolving recurring maintenance issues in the assigned area of activity.
  • Conduct basic electrical or mechanical installation, repair, and troubleshooting of motors, and basic instrumentation and/or controls.
  • Identify deviations and document/communicate them in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor contractors on small maintenance projects.
  • Work in accordance with all relevant requirements including, but not limited to ATEX, GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA and internal safety guidelines.
  • Maintain level of housekeeping/sanitation/food safety and safety which meets Company’s standards and guidelines.
  • Perform administrative duties including but not limited to creating and closing work requests using Maintenance management system (SAP).
  • Assist the Maintenance Lead and/or Supervisor in delivering technical training for the staff and following up on work orders.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
