About The Position

The person in this position conducts minor maintenance on the interior and exterior of building and grounds and communicates issue to the maintenance manager and/or area supervisors, and maintains a productive, safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

• Metal fabrication skills
• Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
• Ability to effectively work in teams
• Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
• Demonstrated ability to apply basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles
• Technical knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment
• Mechanical aptitude
• Strong math skills
• Computer ability
• Attentive to detail & accuracy, looks for improvements to work processes and takes advantage of tools & resources, finds root cause to quality problems
• Strong troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
• Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
• Change light bulbs and fixtures
• Cut and install filter material for the air filtering system
• Change ceiling tiles as necessary
• Perform general painting duties
• Perform general construction duties (repair/install walls, hand doors, fix door knobs or locks, etc.)
• Install, inspect safety equipment/supplies (i.e., eye wash stations, hearing protection dispensers, first aid boxes, etc.)
• Proactively communicate problems encountered to applicable areas, and discuss maintenance concerns with maintenance manager and/or lead
• Enhance internal and external department communication toward creating and maintaining a cohesivework environment
• Assist with maintenance projects as needed
• Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
• Complete scheduled work orders
• Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
