About The Position

Transdev in East Hartford, CT is seeking an experienced B-Level Maintenance Technician to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Maintenance Technician - B, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles. Non-CBA Position: Competitive compensation package of minimum $26.50 – maximum $27.30 per hour Additional $0.25 hourly premium for ASE certifications up to 4 Benefits include Vacation: minimum of one (1) week Sick days: 5 days Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating 401(k) retirement plan Medical, dental and vision Life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary long-term disability. Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement

Requirements

  • 1 year experience as an Auto Maintenance Technician
  • Mechanic’s Tool Set
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot engine issues.
  • Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Assist A-Level Maintenance Technicians in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
  • Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge
  • Other duties as required.
