About The Position
PLK Communities is seeking a skilled full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team. As an owner and manager of residential apartment communities, we prioritize maintaining the physical integrity of our properties for the benefit of all residents, visitors, and staff. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that our communities are well-maintained and that residents enjoy a safe and comfortable living environment. This position involves a variety of tasks, including performing property maintenance needs, preparing apartments for new residents, and completing work orders in a timely manner. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, mechanical systems, and small appliance repair. Additionally, the role includes maintenance of the property grounds and common areas, as well as HVAC service and repair, with training provided for those who may need it. The technician will also ensure proper removal and disposal of trash, contributing to the overall cleanliness and appeal of the community. This position requires a proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to providing excellent service to our residents. In this role, the Maintenance Technician will be expected to respond to after-hours emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation, ensuring that residents' needs are met promptly and effectively.
