About The Position

The Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship (MTA) is a year-long, paid apprenticeship program designed to provide hands-on training and classroom instruction in maintenance and technical operations. This program aims to develop essential technical skills in areas such as basic electronics, mechanical systems, and occupational safety, preparing apprentices for a successful career in the industrial sector.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar industrial, manufacturing, or maintenance environment is highly recommended.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow standard operating procedures.
• Basic math skills and entry-level computer proficiency preferred.
• Effective communication skills in English or Spanish; bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.
• Physical capability to handle the job's demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.

• Familiarity with safety protocols.
• Basic machine operation and tool identification.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, materials, and recordkeeping assistance to maintenance personnel.
• Assist in repairing electrical components and completing facility projects.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
