As a Maintenance Technician Apprentice , you’ll gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced technicians in a structured learning environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in industrial maintenance, with opportunities to develop skills and grow into a fully independent technician role over time. We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician Apprentice to support the upkeep of our equipment and facilities while developing core maintenance skills. This is a hands-on, entry-level role designed for someone with basic mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced team members, gaining exposure to mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, while building the foundation needed to progress within the maintenance function.

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn and develop new skills
  • Basic familiarity with tools and mechanical systems (hands-on training provided)
  • Ability to follow direction and work safely in a team environment
  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a shop, fabrication, or maintenance environment
  • Exposure to mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems
  • Vocational or technical coursework in mechanics or a related field
  • Technical training or coursework is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic repairs and routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles
  • Support preventive maintenance activities and equipment inspections
  • Work alongside experienced technicians to learn mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly care for tools and equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
  • Document maintenance activities as directed
  • Communicate equipment issues or concerns clearly to the maintenance lead or supervisor
