About The Position

This position is for a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician at our facility in Charlotte, NC. MM is a global leader in consumer packaging, providing packaging solutions for cartonboard and folding cartons with an attractive offer in kraft papers, uncoated fine papers, leaflets, and labels. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical, electronic, or other related experience.
  • Must be detail-oriented, proactive, and a self-starter.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift 40 lb. cartons on a consistent basis.
  • Team leadership experience or training.
  • Knowledge of industrial machine repair or operation experience.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical printing or packaging industry.
  • Hot work, lock out tag out, haz mat, or OSHA certification training.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read a ruler within 1/64 of an inch.
  • Ability to learn and operate a variety of machine controls.
  • Ability to wear the proper safety equipment as required.
  • Ability to be on call for any instances deemed necessary by leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and interprets maintenance requests and completes as needed both electronically and manually.
  • Repairs machines proactively to keep them in the best possible working order.
  • Maintains an effective parts inventory that will allow repairs to be completed in a timely manner through Hagen system.
  • Maintains a safe work area and exhibits safe work habits at all times in the area around machines.
  • Understands and practices cGMPs, standard procedures, and work instructions.
  • Uses good judgment and consistency when making or directing repairs and/or adjustments on machines.
  • Provides timely feedback to Maintenance Lead and Production Supervisor of machine condition and potential upcoming issues as noticed during preventative maintenance upkeep.
  • Assists as directed with machine evaluations and mechanical condition audits.
  • Works closely with area managers on required machine failures and corrective actions.
  • Assists Maintenance staff as needed in completing needed repairs.
  • Shares knowledge with machine operators to develop them into self-sufficient, productive employees.
  • All other duties as reasonably requested.
