About The Position

The position of Maintenance Technician 3 is the primary person responsible for day-to-day Maintenance and Reliability activities for the Facility. This position shall primarily handle all Preventive, Predictive and Corrective maintenance activities, with a focus on improving machine and equipment availability. The Maintenance Technician 3 should have good listening and customer service skills to be able to build trust with the Operations departments to find the Root Cause of reactive maintenance issues. The individual must have excellent technical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to execute TPM/PM requirements for plant equipment
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-year technical degree (AS) OR similar Military schools / training OR 7 years of Industrial Maintenance / Reliability experience
  • Ability to execute all Multi-craft functions
  • Ability to execute work orders without direct supervision
  • Drive results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Environmental and People
  • Be a leader/training resource to lower-level maintenance persons
  • Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required to meet customer demands.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, including all related departments/plants or independently as required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Able to lift 70 lbs. (Occasionally) and 30+ lbs. on a routine basis
  • Able to work in confined spaces, under, over, or inside machines
  • Able to wear all associated PPE (respirators, Tyvek suits, rubber / latex gloves, etc.)
  • This position requires compliance with the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR"). Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by all pertinent regulations and are required to show proof substantiating this upon being hired.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of Industrial CNC or similar Maintenance / Reliability experience
  • PLC, HMI, Advanced Hydraulic or similar specialized Industrial Maintenance Training
  • Very good understanding of TPM, PM/Pd.M. and other modern maintenance practices & committed to implementing these practices to form a World Class Manufacturing Facility
  • Understanding of OEE performance metrics and how to improve

Responsibilities

  • Execute tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor
  • Diagnose & repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, & electrical systems
  • Maintain & troubleshoot PLC or automated machining equipment
  • Excellent Troubleshooting skills (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.)
  • Understanding of Root Cause Analysis and the aptitude to keep looking for the core problem
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for Work Order, Parts Order and other computer systems
  • Accurately make independent decisions on product disposition
  • Trouble shoot various problems and develop corrective action to prevent reoccurrence
  • Adhere and monitor SOP
  • Understand/learn the nature and functionality of the products being inspected
  • Effectively communicate and notify supervisor when there are discrepancies
  • Must be able to accurately input all required data into the manufacturing database
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
