About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at Lilly is responsible for performing and documenting calibration, maintenance, and monitoring of manufacturing systems and equipment at the Branchburg location. This role focuses on executing preventative and corrective maintenance on various mechanical and control systems, ensuring compliance with cGMPs and safety regulations, and minimizing equipment downtime to support manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Associate degree or Certificate in a technical discipline preferred; minimum High School Diploma with 2 years vocational, industrial, trade school or apprentice program experience.
• 2 - 8 years instrumentation/controls/mechanical hands-on experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and to climb a ladder.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a cGMP environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document calibration and maintenance of manufacturing systems and equipment.
• Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC, autoclaves, glassware washers, bioreactors, and other systems.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, controls, and mechanical issues, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Act as Lockout Tagout (LOTO) Lead, ensuring safety protocols are followed during maintenance activities.
• Engage with customers and engineers to improve processes and systems.
• Maintain compliant training records and perform all duties in accordance with cGMPs and safety regulations.
• Provide 24-hour emergency response as required.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and ensure proper training and documentation before work is performed.
