About The Position

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. This role supports the company's business goals by ensuring the operational efficiency of equipment and facilities, working under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

• 4+ years of manufacturing experience with strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and electrical/electronic troubleshooting equipment.
• High School diploma or GED; AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Basic math skills and proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.
• Ability to work independently and cooperate with team members.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with variable frequency drive controls.
• Certification on forklift and other movable equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct and coordinate activities related to the maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Install and maintain production CNC machines and plant facility equipment.
• Provide emergency repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance during machine service hours.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust equipment.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Conduct plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions as needed.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report unusual situations to supervision.
• Participate in the Mesker Safety Program and collaborate with leaders to improve safety.
