About the position

The Maintenance Technician at LogistiQ, a Division of LEWCO, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and electrical systems in a commercial and industrial setting. This role is crucial for ensuring the operational efficiency of the facility, which is dedicated to providing innovative solutions in the retail, ecommerce, and distribution markets. The technician will work within a team to uphold the company's core values of integrity, innovation, accountability, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Detect machinery malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems.
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
• Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
• Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance work as needed.
• Follow all company policies and procedures and adhere to OSHA safety regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of three years of maintenance experience required.
• Proven experience in installation, programming, or repair of automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Demonstrates time management and organization skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and basic data entry skills.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Nice-to-haves

• OSHA 10-hour training preferred.
• Forklift and scissor lift experience required.
