About The Position

The Maintenance Technician - 2nd shift at Foremost Farms USA is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the cheese manufacturing facility by performing maintenance tasks on various equipment. This full-time position involves working a 10-hour shift from 2:00 PM to midnight, with a schedule of 8 days on followed by 6 days off, including every other weekend off. The role requires mechanical skills and a willingness to learn, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the plant operations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to pass a general maintenance exam
• Willing to use a forklift (training is provided)
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations
• Must be detail oriented
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment
• Participation in team environment

Nice To Haves

• Food processing experience preferred, or experience maintaining manufacturing equipment
• Electro-Mechanical Technology degree or related education desired
• Experience with ammonia systems, welding, boilers, cooling towers, pumps and motors, electrical
• Able to read and understand standard operating procedures
• Prior PLC experience is helpful, programming and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of GMP's and OSHA is highly desirable
• Experience with single phase and three phase power

Responsibilities

• Install motors and pumps
• Weld stainless steel
• Maintain ammonia refrigeration equipment
• Operate boilers
• Conduct preventative maintenance and electrical troubleshooting
• Work with pneumatics, instrumentation, HVAC and more
