Requirements

  • Requires at least 2 years of related job experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits and electronics.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic system, schematics, & components.
  • PLC/Parameters knowledge.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles associated with machine tools.
  • Requires working knowledge of machine tool nomenclature and repair.
  • Basic machining operations experience for mill and lathe.
  • Must have ability to handle diversified work assignments with independent thinking.
  • Must be detail-oriented with superior record-keeping and organizational skills.
  • High school education with coursework in skilled trades preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other issues on machines such as CNC Lathes, Mills, Lasers, and Waterjets.
  • Repair and replace parts on mechanical equipment such as press brakes, drills, or equivalent.
  • Repair/replace pneumatic components, electrical switches, and small motor controls. Replace fuses and lighting equipment, etc.
  • Perform machine alignments.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment in the shop.
  • Observe equipment to accurately diagnose malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair. Use electronic test equipment and/or mechanical measurement equipment to aid in timely and accurate diagnosis.
  • Trouble shoot & repair from electrical schematics, parts lists, and mechanical drawings supplied by equipment manufacturers. Communicate effectively with equipment manufacturers & production leaders.
  • Dismantle machine or equipment using hand or power tools to examine parts for defects or to remove defective parts.
  • Substitute new parts or repair parts as required. Reassemble parts and ensure good working order.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
