About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for industrial electrical tasks for the Distribution Service Center (DSC) and/or Contract Transportation Services (CTS) business units. This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans. The working hours for this position are 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday from 3:00pm to 11:00pm. The role includes contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, which may be supervised or unsupervised.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status.
  • Must have one (1) year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, distribution or operations environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Have at least two (2) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Have at least an Industrial, electrical and/or welding certifications or license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain electrical equipment, troubleshooting, wiring and controls, three-phase motors, switches, etc.
  • Perform various duties such as wiring and making connections to new electrical installations, replacing small parts in motors, and repairing electrical fixtures.
  • Make new installations of fixtures, motors, and other electrical equipment as required.
  • Ensure the safe operation of equipment by preventative maintenance and repair by examining machines for defects in operation, replacing defective parts, and making necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
  • Improve and maintain electric fork trucks and trailers.
  • Assist in changing the layout of warehouse facilities by setting up or installing machines and equipment.
  • Follow safety and housekeeping guidelines/procedures.
  • Work as a team player and perform tasks independently without supervision.
