About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II position is responsible for performing corrective and preventive maintenance on CNC manufacturing equipment. This skilled role requires the technician to work independently while also being able to seek guidance for more complex tasks. The technician will support the achievement of business goals through effective maintenance practices, ensuring equipment reliability and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Trade Certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with CNC maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read facility utility equipment manuals.
• Experience using computerized building management systems for maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Advanced understanding of equipment/systems and diagnosis of electrical and mechanical problems.
• Basic project management and planning/scheduling skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Doosan, DMG Mori, and MORI Seiki CNC machines.
• Knowledge of critical safety devices and functionality.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on CNC machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install parts on CNC machines.
• Navigate CNC controls to diagnose issues and verify corrective actions.
• Follow safety guidelines including Point-of-Work risk assessment and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Test machinery and equipment after maintenance has been completed.
• Identify routine faults or failures and report to upper management.
• Demonstrate understanding of root cause analysis.
• Utilize the department CMMS system to document parts, material usage, and downtime.
• Complete skills training curriculum as defined by management.
