About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all equipment, performing scheduled preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting various mechanical and electrical issues. This highly skilled position requires a combination of electrical and mechanical duties, including maintaining proper records for maintenance and inventory, promoting good housekeeping habits, and coordinating equipment training. The technician must adhere to safety regulations and participate in safety training, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and other technical certifications applicable to servicing industrial equipment.
• At least 5 years of experience with advanced skills in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
• Certified training in electrical safety procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and program machine logic systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations regarding powered industrial trucks and lifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance as planned.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical problems.
• Maintain proper records for maintenance and inventory of parts.
• Promote good housekeeping habits related to maintenance.
• Coordinate equipment training as needed.
• Communicate ideas and problems to management.
• Follow all employer safety and health regulations.
• Participate and/or conduct safety training as scheduled.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC and other electronic systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, parts manuals, blueprints, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Perform scheduled production equipment mold changeovers.
• Maintain sufficient records to support Computerized Maintenance Management Software (EAM).
• Provide suggestions for training topics.
• Participate in plant teams and activities related to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
