Responsible for the installation, repair, and performance of preventive maintenance for a wide range of mechanical equipment or building and construction facilities. Dismantles, repairs, and reassembles equipment and machinery. Makes periodic inspections of and maintains all equipment associated with supplying safety, lighting, plumbing, heating and ventilation, air conditioning, control systems and any other systems for which responsible. 1. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson Revised Job Description 2. Performs all urgent, corrective, routine, preventative, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment and systems. 3. Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system. Journeyman Mechanical Maintenance (or equivalent). Understanding of electrical safety and lockout/tagout standards. 4. Maintain and repair distribution systems involving vacuum, medical air, medical gas systems and air compressors. 5. Maintain and repair pneumatic equipment located in engine rooms, such as hot water convertor, thermostats, induction units, sump pumps and all piping pertaining to the function of this equipment. 6. Make checks of all mechanical area equipment. 7. Handle maintenance calls from the main office. 8. Assist other trade maintenance technicians with more complicated repairs as needed.
