About The Position

The basic function of the Maintenance Technician is to repair, adjust and maintain the operating condition of tools, manufacturing equipment and assemblies. This position will diagnose PLC's and repair electronics and robotics.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 5 years in electrical or manufacturing maintenance
• 5 years in PLC’s and electronic equipment
• Adkev, Inc. equipment and skills certifications as required (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)
• This position requires the ability to stand, walk and climb for prolonged periods of time.
• This position requires the ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• This position requires the ability of eyesight (corrected) to include normal color acuity, full use of limbs, hearing (corrected) and ability to use handheld radio.
• This position requires the ability to physically perform all aspects of the job without significant accommodation.
• This position requires physical dexterity and ability to negotiate around an office area, warehouse, manufacturing equipment and around a crowded and busy working area.
• This position requires basic math skills.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must write legibly.
• Must be able to communicate with others.
• This position requires the ability to communicate with and maintain positive interpersonal skills with all members of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly preventative maintenance checks on forklifts and tool room equipment
• Perform bi-monthly preventative maintenance checks on molding press filters
• Check or test the following every three months: fire pump and sprinkler system, emergency light, water separator at air compressor, air compressors oil level, sub pump in trench
• Drain water in airline every 3 months
• Grease water pumps
• Monitor and assist in annual maintenance tests performed by outside contractors, back flow test, sprinkler system check, fire extinguisher check
• Maintain lawnmowers
• Assist in installation of new machinery
• Repair production equipment and assembly fixtures
• Complete maintenance logs
• Repair heating and cooling systems
• Operate forklift
• Operate some metal working and welding machines
• Maintain 5S
• Programming of robots and automation equipment.
• Trouble shooting process control equipment (i.e. process automation.)
• Responsible for maintaining automation control systems.
• Aid the Automation Dept. in process control automation design and capital project, as needed.
• Provide system technical support for in-house automation systems.
• Adhere to Adkev, Inc. policies, procedures and instructions
• Adhere to Adkev, Inc.'s No Fault Attendance policy
