About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II at Colgate-Palmolive is responsible for ensuring the effective operation and repair of manufacturing equipment, including liquid making, filling lines, and utility equipment. This role requires troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems to maintain equipment reliability and safety compliance. The technician collaborates with team members to achieve production goals while adhering to quality and environmental standards.

Requirements

• High School/Vocational school or technical institute required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or similar experience preferred, with an emphasis in mechanics or electronics.
• Internal applicants must be a Level III Operator or above and pass the Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Series SMT assessment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot unplanned equipment breakdowns and repair automated and non-automated equipment.
• Understand the storeroom parts storage system and follow procedures for parts removal.
• Undertake daily reporting and updates of information systems, including documentation of maintenance activities.
• Identify and report potential maintenance issues that need to be addressed.
• Fabricate simple machine parts using shop equipment such as lathe and drill press.
• Complete regulatory and compliance-related documentation accurately.
• Stay informed about team production performance and participate in performance reviews.
• Apply Continuous Improvement tools and techniques to achieve team goals.
• Adhere to EHOS, Quality, GMP, and Micro standards and guidelines.
• Maintain work area to required housekeeping standards and participate in assessments.
• Share knowledge and develop maintenance skills with operators.
