You will maintain, and repair Electrical, PLCs, Hydraulics and Mechanical device systems, and perform preventive maintenance activities, and maintain and troubleshoot facility and emergency maintenance systems. Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 3 years experience as a maintenance technician; or equivalent or successful performance as a Fisher Barton Maintenance Technician 2 team member
  • Proficient in all Maintenance Technician 3 skills, as defined on the site Training Matrix
  • Broad experience maintaining and repairing Electrical, Hydraulics and Mechanical device systems
  • Can develop and perform less routine PMs
  • Can troubleshoot basic facility and emergency maintenance problems
  • Able to analyze difficult situations and quickly solve problems
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate English effectively
  • Adept with basic mathematics

  • Proficient in troubleshooting problems to rapidly obtain successful outcomes
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Windows)
  • Able to work well with personnel from all levels in all functions of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and business code of ethics
  • Read PM procedures, interpret basic engineering drawings and schematics, and understand statistical process trends
  • Understand and follow maintenance specific work instructions to inspect, test, measure, repair, and replace mechanical equipment
  • Complete daily maintenance tasks
  • Log time, task completion, and PM results throughout the day using a computer
  • Execute tasks and responsibilities as required by the Preventive Maintenance System
  • Maintain accurate, legible, and complete Maintenance documentation
  • Collaborate with other technicians, engineering & leads/supervisors to continually improve the safety of our environment, the quality of our products, the efficiency & utilization of our processes & equipment
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement teams and training
  • Maintain housekeeping and 5S in the work area
  • Understand and follow maintenance specific work instructions to inspect, test, measure, repair, and replace hydraulic, PLC, and electrical equipment
  • Apply your Electrical, PLC, Hydraulic and Mechanical systems’ knowledge to solve complex maintenance problems
  • Install and troubleshoot new equipment
  • Work independently to solve complex facility and emergency maintenance problems within tight time constraints
  • Develop maintenance specific work instructions covering inspection, testing, measurement, repair, and replacement
  • Train Maintenance Technician team members
  • Troubleshoot and correct PLC problems by identifying and isolating the most common system faults
  • Drive predictive maintenance using higher level math, interpreting engineering drawings and schematics, and utilizing computer programs for testing & statistical trend analysis
