Opportunity: Join our team as a Property Maintenance Technician and build a career where every day brings a new challenge—and a chance to make a visible impact. In this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership of residential work orders across our properties and grow your skills across a wide range of trades, including routine maintenance, HVAC, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and more. What you’ll do: Knock out assigned service requests and keep our homes running smoothly—performing repairs and upkeep across HVAC/heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, and other general maintenance, and recommending repair vs. replacement as needed. Deliver work that’s professional, high-quality, and clean—leaving each space better than you found it. Support construction and repair projects by keeping work on track—focused on quality, safety, and timely completion. Share ideas for property upgrades and preventative improvements that can be considered in future budgets. Collaborate with the team by participating in site meetings as needed. Help maintain an inviting community by keeping buildings and grounds looking their best—handling debris/weed removal and flagging maintenance needs before they become bigger issues. Keep growing—participate in ongoing training to strengthen your skills and maintain required knowledge. Work safely every day by consistently using required safety equipment. Take on special projects and pitch in where needed to support the team and our residents. Perform other duties as assigned. What you’ll bring: Your own hand tools, plus a valid driver’s license, vehicle, and vehicle insurance. Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when needed. Availability for an on-call rotation covering evenings and weekends. A self-starter mindset—able to work independently, prioritize effectively, follow defined procedures, and get tasks across the finish line. Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work well with a diverse group of people. Willingness to travel to multiple sites and/or locations as required. Education & experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. One to two years of related experience and/or training preferred (or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education). Experience required in the following areas: HVAC, EPA Universal, Boilers License and/or Pool Certification. Work environment & physical demands: This role includes outdoor work and exposure to cold, rain, wind, and other weather conditions customary to the location. Safety comes first: you’ll be expected to work safely at all times and help ensure others do the same—working safely is a condition of employment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to lift 20 to 50 pounds on a regular basis; occasionally up to 100 pounds. Must be able to walk, bend, stretch, stoop, lift, and reach frequently.
