The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance, and keeping accurate maintenance records. The Maintenance Technician ensures that maintenance requirements/needs are completed in a timely and accurate manner to maintain current production requirements. The Maintenance Technician will use continuous improvement to remain proactive in identifying and addressing facility and maintenance related issues. Essential Functions: Adhere to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and business code of ethics Read PM procedures, interpret basic engineering drawings and schematics, and understand statistical process trends Understand and follow basic and routine maintenance specific work instructions to inspect, test, measure, repair, and replace mechanical equipment Complete daily maintenance tasks Log time, task completion, and PM results throughout the day using a tablet and computer Execute tasks and responsibilities as required by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Maintain accurate, legible, and complete Maintenance documentation when not using CMMS Collaborate with other technicians, engineering & leads/supervisors to continually improve the safety of our environment, the quality of our products, the efficiency & utilization of our processes & equipment Participate in Continuous Improvement teams and training Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8–10 hours) and lift heavy materials, typically up to 50 lbs. Maintain housekeeping and 5S in the work area Equipment Hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, all manufacturing equipment and related energy sources
