Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or one year of related experience and/or training in manufacturing equipment maintenance and repair; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; capable of performing basic mathematical calculations and accurately recording data.
  • Bilingual skills are beneficial.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and systematic approach to troubleshooting and problem solving is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays).
  • Conveyors (air cylinders, diverters, sensors, motor/speed controls).
  • Electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting)
  • Electronics (e.g., level probes, flow meters, drives/vfds, etc.).
  • Gearing and gear boxes (rebuilds, ordering parts, machining parts).
  • Hydraulic systems (high pressure cylinders, pumps, valves, troubleshooting).
  • Kinematics (e.g., line speed/sprocket size ratios, etc.).
  • Packaging/high speed production (e.g., bottling, consumer products, etc.).
  • Pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting).
  • Pneumatics/air compression (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.).
  • Preventative maintenance (computerized preventative charts/data).
  • Pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs).
  • Review rating instructions.
  • PLC, HVAC, Ammonia, Refrigeration, or other specialty certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform BASIC preventative maintenance inspection and service on all production and manufacturing equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company guidelines.
  • Perform BASIC troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and maintain equipment to the desired company performance standards.
  • Interface, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic computerized systems and equipment
  • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Comply with all company work and safety rules and regulatory compliance rules and regulations.
  • Use all personal protective equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Possess the necessary personal tools to perform duties.
