About The Position

Opportunity: Put your skills to work where they make an immediate difference. We’re looking for a hands-on Property Maintenance Technician who takes pride in solving problems, keeping homes running smoothly, and creating a great resident experience. In this role, you’ll own the day-to-day completion of residential work orders across our communities—working across HVAC, heating and cooling, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and more.

Requirements

  • Bring your own hand tools and have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and vehicle insurance.
  • Be open to occasional extended hours and weekend work as business needs require.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for evenings and weekends.
  • Work independently and efficiently—organizing tasks, setting priorities, following defined procedures, and consistently closing out work orders.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully, with the ability to work well with a diverse group of residents, vendors, and teammates.
  • Travel between multiple sites/locations as needed.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, plus 1–2 years of related experience and/or training—or an equivalent combination of relevant education and hands-on experience.
  • Experience required in the following areas: HVAC, EPA Universal, Boilers License and/or Pool Certification.
  • Ability to lift 20–50 pounds regularly; occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to walk, bend, stretch, stoop, lift, and reach frequently throughout the day.

Responsibilities

  • Knock out assigned service requests—troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining homes across HVAC/heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, and general repairs—recommending repair vs. replacement when needed.
  • Deliver high-quality work with attention to detail—leaving units and work areas clean, safe, and resident-ready.
  • Complete construction and repair projects on schedule while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.
  • Share practical ideas for property upgrades and preventive maintenance that support budget planning and long-term asset care.
  • Join site walks and meetings as needed to align on priorities, timelines, and resident needs.
  • Help keep each community looking its best—supporting curb appeal and common-area upkeep (debris/weed removal) and reporting maintenance needs.
  • Participate in training and skill-building to stay sharp, safe, and up to date on best practices.
  • Use required safety equipment and follow safe-work practices on every job.
  • Pitch in on special projects that improve the resident experience and the quality of our properties.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
