About The Position

OnTrac is hiring a Maintenance Technician I - Conveyor Systems. This role is crucial for ensuring all conveyor systems are inspected, maintained, and repaired in accordance with federal and state regulations and company standards. The position is based in Lockbourne, OH, and involves working from Thursday to Monday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm or until the end of the shift. The company emphasizes safety and believes this role is one of the most important in the organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• 1+ years related experience and/or training in mechanical and electrical equipment, or equivalent combination of both education and specific work experience.
• Current Driver's License and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Material Handling Systems (MHS), industrial conveyor systems and controls, VFDs, PLC, Electronic motors (480V). Programming, GUI, and or HMI experience is a big plus.
• Knowledge of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), PM's (Preventative Maintenance), and 3-Phase electrical work.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and electrical blueprints.
• Mechanical work experience.
• Industrial electrical knowledge is a PLUS.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
• Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems and material handling equipment to keep operations running smoothly, responding in a timely manner to all material handling systems breakdowns.
• Maintain and provide routine preventive maintenance to conveyor systems.
• Change and repair parts of conveyor systems, rebuild and align equipment, gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts.
• Use illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment.
• Perform housekeeping duties, including work area clean-up, conveyor and equipment clean-up, and other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Conduct daily inspections of machinery for potential problems.
