About The Position

Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking a 3 rd Shift Maintenance Technician for Lacey’s Spring Quarry, Alabama SMA reporting to the Plant Manager. Lacey’s Spring Quarry - Rogers Group – Lacey’s Spring, AL Full Time – 3 rd Shift; 9 hour shifts; 11pm-7am Lacey’s Spring quarry is an open-pit limestone quarry seeking a Maintenance Technician for our operation located in Lacey’s Spring, AL. This individual will be primarily responsible for duties such as welding, fabricating and other areas of production operations. Requirements

  • Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
  • Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed.
  • Previous fixed plant maintenance or related industry experience is required.
  • Experience working with crushers, conveyors, and screens is required.
  • MUST HAVE experience in fabricating, cutting, and welding is required.
  • MUST BE Self-motivated and able to work independently, without close supervision.
  • Self-motivated individual - must be able to perform required duties independently, without constant supervision.
  • Must be flexible on working hours and locations with the ability to adapt to different work environments.
  • Capable of demonstrating equipment and troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Ability to understand basic safety and work instruction.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
  • Good organizational, scheduling and time management skills.
  • Team player mentality.
  • Working outdoors in varied weather conditions with the probability of dust, noise, heat, and cold.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with crushers, conveyors and screens preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plant repair; maintain crushers, conveyors, and screens.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues with quarry equipment, including hydraulic failures, electrical malfunctions, and engine problems.
  • Fabricate parts/weld broken parts needed for repair of the plant
  • Perform servicing and general maintenance for all areas of the plant
  • Regularly inspect all quarry equipment for signs of wear, damage, or potential failure, including belts, bearings, hydraulic lines, and electrical components.
  • Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
  • Other duties as assigned by management
