About The Position
Swan Products, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Waco, Texas facility. As a leading manufacturer of lawn and garden watering products in North America, we pride ourselves on maintaining high production and quality standards. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment, which is vital for our production processes. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring timely repairs to minimize downtime. The technician will analyze problems, interpret technical information, and complete assigned work orders while maintaining accurate records. The Maintenance Technician will support the plant's preventive maintenance (PM) program, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently. This includes following operational manuals and manufacturer instructions, troubleshooting both mechanically and electronically, and effectively communicating with the Maintenance Supervisor and Operations management. The technician will also be responsible for submitting purchase requisitions for parts needed for repairs and maintaining a clean and safe working environment by adhering to company policies and safety standards. In addition to technical skills, the Maintenance Technician must demonstrate punctuality and good attendance, as the role requires working night shifts and weekends, as well as being on call as needed. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment and possess knowledge of AC and DC drives, motors, motor controls, sensors, and electrical wiring. Experience with PLCs is preferred, and the ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics is essential for success in this role.
