About The Position

The position involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks in an industrial setting, including plumbing, electrical maintenance, and equipment repair. The role requires the ability to operate various tools and machinery, as well as the capacity to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues. The candidate will be expected to maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years on-the-job experience in an industrial setting, or diploma in Industrial Maintenance Technology
• Ability to read blueprints
• Pass Auxiliary Equipment & Electrical Equipment Tests
• High school Diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
• Pass criminal background check, drug screen and Blue Bird physical

Responsibilities

• Perform basic plumbing maintenance
• Operate torch and welder
• Layout, fabricate, and erect structures
• Conduct industrial electrical maintenance, read electrical schematics, and apply ladder logic
• Operate hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and gas train operation systems
• Maintain and repair all factory equipment on a daily basis, such as machine tools, compressors, HVAC systems, plating plants, and assembly equipment
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and order parts
• Schedule, develop, and complete routine and preventative equipment, electrical, and mechanical maintenance on plant equipment
• Occasionally operate PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), CNC (Computer Numerical Control), robotics, HVAC systems, and assembly equipment
• Work with 480 3 phase control voltage
• Perform tasks that involve drywall, painting, and carpentry skills
• Notify area leader when issues arise
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Attend daily safety department meetings
• Communicate with supervisors and other team members throughout their shift to ensure daily tasks are clear
• Understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Adapt to a changing environment
• Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills
