About The Position

Join our EPIC team at Cascade Senior Care Center! The Maintenance / Facilities Assistant will assist the Maintenance Director and the Housekeeping & Laundry Director in the completion of day-to-day activities involving all environmental services of the facility, equipment and machinery - including HVAC, lighting systems, groundskeeping, and overall facility appearance. This position will assist other maintenance and groundskeeping staff, and assist in planning the services with outside vendors and contractors. We can work with your scheduling needs: 8 hour shifts Full Time position How you will help people every day: Follow established fire safety policies and procedures. Maintain facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment. Assist with routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc., as necessary/directed. Assist with routine maintenance and repair on the facility equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical. Ensure that equipment and supplies are in good working order, maintained, used, cleaned, and stored safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and facility policies. Assist with ordering and help maintain adequate level of supplies for the housekeeping department in a cost effective and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of related maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel.
  • Basic computer skills; experience utilizing electronic work orders a plus.
