About the role Work with Maintenance Team to develop detailed job instructions for routine tasks. Audits of preventative WO to determine necessary updates or changes. Adherence to GMP and PPE along with other required standards Recommends equipment to be included in preventative maintenance programs Ensures charge numbers and other coding are complete and accurate and authorization is proper Discusses the details with the originating department as appropriate Assures that work requested is needed. If need is questioned and not readily resolved with production or requesting personnel, refers the work order to the maintenance manager Examines jobs to be done and determines best way to accomplish the work. Consults with requester or Maintenance Lead when necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to tolerate the above-listed physical and environmental demands of this position with or without accommodation.
  • Must pass pre-work physical.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in written form at a high level.
  • Mechanical ability.
  • Work experience in some of the following areas pneumatics, metal fabrication, welding, boiler operation, building maintenance, electronics, and electrical.
  • Related work experience 3-5 years of similar work as an Industrial Maintenance Technician
  • Aerial (manlift) experience- ability to work at heights

Nice To Haves

  • 2-year technical degree in related field. Other related certifications.
  • Strongly prefer a stable employment history with at least 2 years of continuous employment at one employer within the last 5 years.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Food industry experience.
  • Experience working on some or all of the following industrial equipment extruders, drying ovens, air compressors, and boilers.
  • Forklift and experience.
  • Stainless steel fabrication (TIG)
  • Minnesota boiler license
