Reporting to the Production Manager, you will support plant operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Review the daily work schedule at the start of the shift and verify that required tools, equipment, and supplies are available. Set up and tear down production equipment, including performing equipment changeovers and overhauls. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production tools and equipment including conveyors, lifts, palletizers, motors, and related systems. Perform basic welding and machining work and read blueprints, drawings, and plans. Create, update, and close work orders using SAP enterprise resource planning. Build, sharpen, repair, or modify parts to work order specifications using lathes, surface grinders, mills, honing equipment, and other shop tools. Complete preventive maintenance activities and support special projects as assigned. Assist skilled trades with repairs, replacements, adjustments, and modifications involving equipment, machinery, wiring, and piping. Respond to production department help calls and provide production line support when required. Support wastewater activities including sampling, usage records, preventive maintenance system documentation, pH calibration, required cleaning, and sludge tank maintenance. Perform dock plate preventive maintenance. Serve as a First Responder and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation when required. Maintain shop skills and fabrication standards. Secure equipment, complete housekeeping duties, and maintain accurate work records at the end of each shift. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
