The Maintenance Tech Assists in the day-to-day facility upkeep, including manufacturing/distribution equipment repair and preventative maintenance to assure the facility and equipment are maintained in top condition. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Assist with day-to-day facility upkeep and manufacturing/distribution equipment repair and preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild mechanical, pneumatic/hydraulic, HVAC and electrical/electronic equipment. Suggest cost-saving upgrades to equipment and changes to improve performance of equipment. Assist with the development and maintenance of SOPs and the Preventative Maintenance program. Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional people regarding maintenance projects and requests. Maintain and repair office furniture and equipment. Assist with general facility maintenance including snow removal, sidewalk maintenance, and lighting replacement. Complete maintenance work orders by requested due dates. Source and order parts and supplies when needed. Perform all maintenance related duties and preventative maintenance not described above on an as needed basis Occasional overtime and on-call work schedule is needed to meet business needs. MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I (0 – 24 MONTH PERIOD) Review and begin building knowledge of required SOP and GMP guidelines for position. Maintain a clean and safe workspace Build partnerships through teamwork and communication. Accurate documentation is required. Ability to troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions and conduct routine PM procedures. Knowledge in safety policy and lockout/tagout procedures. Complete all established Technician I requirements within a 24 month period. MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II Upon completion of Technician I Independently troubleshoot, diagnose machine problems and repair machine appropriately. Proficient recordkeeping abilities using MVP. Understand importance of being proactive on machine issues. Understand visual management board KPI’s. Effective and proficient team player that is aware of areas of opportunity within the Maintenance department. Consistently maintain all established job requirements and responsibilities. MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN III Upon completion of Technician II Proficient in all aspects of troubleshooting machine malfunctions. Ability to mentor team members and lead projects that are assigned. Interactive and understand the visual management board of KPI’s. Expert in MVP Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN LEAD Alternate Title Understand, communicate, and hold team accountable for department metrics. Update visual management board KPI’s. To provide guidance and leadership focus on cultural change within the department. First point of contact on emergency breakdowns. Lead shift huddles and have effective presentation skills in team settings/discussions. Ability to train and develop team members. Initiate Monthly Maintenance Blitz. Promotes safety and quality initiatives within the department as well as other departments. Observe, recognize, and act upon continuous improvement opportunities as an individual and within the team. Ability to drive and deliver KPI goals. Effectively communicate area specific information and updates to area team members.
