Overview: Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd shift will be working 3:15p-1:45a, Monday-Thursday as needed in both the Door and Glass Plants. Overtime and Call In hours may be required to repair equipment breakdowns to minimize plant downtime.

Requirements

  • Welder
  • Pipe Fitting
  • Ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
  • Cutting (Torch and Plasma Cutter)
  • Carpentry
  • Mechanic
  • Understanding of Blue Prints
  • Must have a working knowledge of - fire protection, individual pieces of equipment, air compressors, vacuum systems, and pneumatic systems, ion measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs and work a 10 hour shift.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to organize and maintain detailed records
  • Due to the open environment of the facility, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold
  • Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service.
  • Follow all operational and safety SOP's as written
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred not required
  • 1-2 Years in the field or related area

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Maintenance performs major mechanical repairs and fabricating of new equipment with minimal supervision to ensure proper performance and safety of equipment.
  • Complete Preventative Maintenance programs and train others.
  • Follow manufacturer's instructions, engineering specifications, drawings and diagrams to troubleshoot malfunctions and monitor compliance of equipment.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, determine wear on parts by using calipers, micrometers, and measuring devices.
  • Follow LOTO procedures.
