About The Position
The Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining the plant machinery in working order.
Requirements
- 1+ year(s) industrial maintenance (mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, fabrication, pneumatic)
- Some technical training / certifications
- Must work well independently with little direction
- Intermediate mathematic skills
- English –some Spanish is a plus
- Quick thinker / strategic planner / flexible / problem solver
- Time management, demonstrate a sense 'urgency'

Responsibilities
- Read / understand operating manuals for plant machinery (steam gen, air comp, wire rollers)
- Interpret parts manuals for purchasing
- Identify / troubleshoot electrical faults in equipment and building
- Identify / troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems
- Utilize diagnostic equipment (meters), and hand tools
- Be proficient with fabrication tools (welding, oxy/acetyl torch)
- Repair plant equipment (steel forms, machinery, and building)
- Help develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules
- Meet safety and housekeeping policy and procedures
- Communicate with co-workers and supervisors in meeting production goals
