About The Position

As a Maintenance Tech, you'll be the go-to person keeping our 4 restaurant locations running smoothly behind the scenes. From fixing equipment and tackling repairs to making sure our spaces stay clean and welcoming for guests and staff, your work directly impacts the experience we deliver every day. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
  • (2) years general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance or handy work.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs following appropriate safety procedures
  • Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time; be able to reach overhead; have full range of mobility in upper and lower body
  • Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, navigating the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions
  • Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 14 ft on A-frames and 21 ft on extension ladders)
  • Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g., heat, cold, wind, rain, humidity)
  • Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers
  • Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment up to 50lbs occasionally to complete assigned job tasks
  • Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word
  • Maintain a valid Florida driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Multiple language fluency is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Routinely walks all floors, including rooftops, to identify maintenance issues, burned-out lights, and potential hazards, reporting findings to supervisors.
  • Completes daily scheduled work orders in a timely manner.
  • Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.
  • Assists with casual labor tasks such as lifting and moving heavy items as directed.
  • Performs minor repairs and replacements across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and general building maintenance — if no permit is required.
  • Inspects common areas for paint needs and reports recommendations to the General Manager; touch-up and repainting of common areas may be required.
  • Learns and safely operates new tools and equipment before use.
  • Follows all safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment at all times.
  • Ensures safety precautions are in place before beginning any task.
  • Identifies work that cannot be completed in-house (permitted work, specialized trades, or jobs beyond scope) and escalates appropriately.
  • Manages vendor relationships across all 4 locations — including sourcing contractors, collecting bids, and selecting the right partner for the job.
  • Defines the scope of work for outside vendors, ensures bids are competitive and accurate, and oversees execution from start to completion.
  • Serves as the on-site point of contact during vendor work, ensuring quality, timeliness, and minimal disruption to restaurant operations.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with location managers and Operations Director.
  • Communicates proactively with supervisors on open issues, vendor work status, and anything impacting restaurant operations.
