About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will assist the VP of Maintenance & Facilities in overseeing daily maintenance operations, ensuring that all maintenance needs are met in a timely manner. This role involves upholding standard policies and procedures within the assigned department and requires a strong background in various maintenance systems and controls.

Requirements

• Experience with high-speed Unit Sorters (Cross Belt, Tilt Tray, Sliding shoe).
• Experience with Case Sorters (Narrow Belt, Pop Up, Sliding Shoe, swivel wheel).
• Experience with Conveyor Controls and PLCs.
• Understanding of processes and I/O (inputs & outputs).
• Experience with RS Logix and PLC programming is a plus.
• Experience troubleshooting photo eyes, encoders, and laser line scanners.
• Experience with VFD controls and high-speed Induction conveyor systems.
• Experience with Warehouse Control Systems and SCADA such as Pyramid Director.
• Experience with high-speed In-Motion Scales and Print & Apply systems.
• Experience with ASRS systems and MDR conveyors.
• Electrical knowledge (600v, 480v, 240v, 120v, 24v, 12v).
• Knowledge of transformers and Motor Control Panels.
• Understanding of Air Systems (air compressors, valves, actuators, cylinders).
• Experience with hydraulics (pumps, hoses, fittings).
• Experience with trash compactors and corrugated balers.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with high throughput, precision application systems.
• Thorough knowledge of all shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist the VP of Maintenance & Facilities with daily maintenance operations.
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance needs.
• Uphold standard policies and procedures within the assigned department.
• Troubleshoot and maintain high-speed Unit Sorters and Case Sorters.
• Manage and maintain Conveyor Controls and PLCs.
• Troubleshoot photo eyes, encoders, and laser line scanners.
• Maintain VFD controls and high-speed Induction conveyor systems.
• Work with Warehouse Control Systems and SCADA.
• Maintain high-speed In-Motion Scales and Print & Apply systems.
• Manage ASRS systems and MDR conveyors.
• Understand and maintain electrical systems and controls.
• Perform plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical tasks as needed.
