About The Position

The position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing machines and equipment in plants and related facilities. The role requires performing a variety of preventative maintenance on parts, pumps, motors, hydraulic systems, and related plant and facility equipment. The employee will read, review, and apply blueprints, schematics, and operating manuals to fix, repair, and maintain equipment. Additionally, the position requires knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, electrical, electronics, welding, and other skilled trades as appropriate or applicable. The employee will operate a variety of hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery in the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of parts, machines, and equipment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, electrical, electronics, welding, and other skilled trades.
• Ability to read and apply blueprints, schematics, and operating manuals.
• Experience in operating hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs machines and equipment in plants and related facilities.
• Performs a variety of preventative maintenance on parts, pumps, motors, hydraulic systems, and related plant and facility equipment.
• Reads, reviews, and applies blueprints, schematics, and operating manuals to fix, repair, and maintain equipment.
• Performs maintenance requiring knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, electrical, electronics, welding, and other skilled trades.
• Operates a variety of hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery in maintenance, repair, and fabrication.
• Completes work orders and paperwork regarding daily maintenance and repair duties.
• Assists with inspecting the plant and related facilities for mechanical and equipment problems.
• Communicates with production, quality control, warehousing, and other departments to maintain a safe and effective environment.
