About The Position
The position involves assisting in equipment repair and preventative maintenance procedures in the operation of the facility. The role requires repairing, replacing, correcting, or affecting equipment to ensure it operates correctly and efficiently according to production requirements. The individual will consult with engineers and vendors as needed and will be able to troubleshoot equipment. Safety compliance is essential, adhering to all policies or regulations set forth by Simmons or various government agencies concerning safety, environment, vehicle handling, food products, packaging, and ingredients. The position also emphasizes teamwork, participation in team meetings, and fostering cohesiveness regarding major issues such as direction, annual plans, and policy changes. Familiarity with Simmons' established operating systems and the responsibility to maintain this familiarity is crucial. The role may also involve performing other duties as necessary to support business objectives.
