About The Position

The Maintenance Tech – Parking is responsible for maintaining parking facilities, equipment, and surrounding areas to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient environment for guests and staff. Reporting to the Parking Operations Director , this role supports daily parking operations and special event setup . This position requires hands-on work including operating equipment such as sweepers and utility vehicles, performing basic maintenance and repairs, and assisting with traffic flow and parking logistics . The ideal candidate is reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) or more years of maintenance or related experience; hospitality industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with basic facility maintenance and repair.
  • Familiarity with power tools, street sweepers, and outdoor equipment.
  • Basic math skills for completing reports and reconciliations.
  • K nowledge of safety procedures, tools, and equipment used in maintenance operations.
  • Strong communication skills including oral, written, and listening abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Customer service mindset with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Power-assisted equipment certification required (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of parking areas to maximize space usage and ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Operate parking lot equipment including sweepers and utility vehicles (e.g., Gator).
  • Lift, position, and remove barricades to open and close parking areas as needed.
  • Perform basic facility and equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Operate street sweepers or similar equipment to maintain parking surfaces.
  • Utilize hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of revenue control equipment.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of special event parking programs.
  • Support gate guarding and parking flow during events and peak periods.
  • Complete nightly reports including basic reconciliation tasks.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete daily assignments.
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exercise sound judgment and respond effectively to changing conditions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support Parking Operations.
