As a Maintenance Tech ll, maintain related building facilities and equipment in order to ensure a reliable and safe environment for residents, visitors and employees. Incumbent will work independently and with other Blue Skies of Texas and contracted maintenance personnel to ensure timely and proper maintenance of all physical plant facilities.

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of at least three years’ work experience in the maintenance or repair field (trade school can be considered).
  • Must possess a current, valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record and remain insurable by Blue Skies carriers.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minor repairs and preventive maintenance experience of small appliances is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, and manages assigned work orders to achieve greatest productivity and work efficiency with safety and quality of work being the highest priorities.
  • Complies with all maintenance department and Blue Skies safety rules, regulations, and general policies.
  • Responds immediately to emergency maintenance calls, ensuring the safety of residents and facilities.
  • Responds quickly to all work orders, prioritizing urgent and life safety-type work orders.
  • Completes Daily Time Sheets and all components properly and in a timely manner in accordance with established policy.
  • Assists in maintaining inventory of materials, parts, supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensures all Company-provided, job-required tools such as tool belt, tool bag, tool box, etc. are in possession and on-hand when responding to work orders.
  • Performs mechanical-related tasks, minor electrical and basic plumbing repairs, and minor carpentry tasks, as directed.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs or replaces door hardware.
  • Changes out appliances such as dishwashers, refrigerators, and stoves, and performs minor repairs and preventive maintenance on same, as directed.
  • Serves as first responder for hot and cold calls.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
