About The Position

To support our manufacturing and warehouse campus locations, the H-E-B Industrial Facility Services team provides maintenance, repair, and construction in ammonia refrigeration, plant utilities, automated systems, and building services. As a Maintenance Technology Leader I, you'll ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our manufacturing, warehouse, and transportation assets and related support functions / areas. Your scope of responsibility may include strategy, budgets, and capital project execution. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (technical BAAS or engineering) OR Technical AAS degree plus 10+ years of leadership experience
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Valid driver's license; a clean driving record
  • Strong written / verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong PC skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word) and a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the safety, reliability, and efficiency of manufacturing, warehouse, and transportation assets, and associated support areas
  • Leads a maintenance team, technicians, and vendor specialists, and foremen
  • Hires / trains / leads / directs / supports a team of highly-productive, multi-skilled maintenance technicians, leaders, and support Partners; communicates expectations; monitors / reports results
  • Provides leadership to department's administrative and accounting functions; communicates financial results to internal customers / management
  • Executes PSM Program for assigned ammonia refrigeration systems
  • Ensures proper safety programs exist; communicates to / ensures compliance by maintenance Partners and customers
  • Ensures all equipment is reflected in maintenance system with correct PMs
  • Collaborates in development / control of facilities repair budget and annual equipment replacement budget
  • Collaborates with engineers, project managers, and contractors to design / construct new facilities and establish standard specifications; collaborates with Engineering, Operations, and suppliers to develop and update design specifications on new facilities
  • Collaborates with management to develop / implement / manage effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and an asset reliability program
  • Collaborates with Environmental team to assure compliance with all OSHA, EPA, state, and local agency rules / regulations
  • Researches new technologies; evaluates their value to Facility Services and H-E-B
  • Maintains a continuous improvement philosophy related to industrial maintenance processes, methods, and systems; develops supporting strategies to implement continuous improvement
