About The Position

This role installs, maintains and repairs: heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration systems and mechanical controls of systems and casino facilities. Performs major HVAC component installation and replacement as well as the evaluation of complex system problems. Installs copper tubing and repairs pipes and tubing as necessary; tests joints and insulates pipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems; flushes boilers, descales tubing and cuts and threads pipes; rebuilds pressure and temperature safety valves and water pumps. Repairs and maintains heated gas controls and motors, filters and condensing units; inspects, detects and repairs leaks; checks and replaces thermocouples and pilot generator, cleans and adjust pilots. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Installs, rebuilds, replaces or repairs fans, motors, auto switches, fan controls, damper motors, louvers, relays, compressors, heat exchangers, high limit controls, pressure controls, safety valves, thermostats, fuses, filters, bearings, water valves, controls, gaskets, cleans coils and condensate plans, belts, and other HVAC components as necessary. Performs troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of HVAC mechanical systems casino wide. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems; repairs or replaces defective parts in HVAC units, equipment and controls. Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and components. Maintain and service department specialized equipment on request. Maintains records including disposal of hazardous materials and treatment chemicals, work orders and requisitions for ordering. Utilizes Lazer alignment equipment to align belts and other mechanical equipment. Repairs are entered into a digital platform and completed on time or based on frequency set. Guest satisfaction is the highest priority. May monitor the work of outside contractors as it relates to large capital projects. Knowledge of cooling tower and boiler water treatment programs.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years' work experience in HVAC, Refrigeration and Controls.
  • Strong repair knowledge of chiller plants, split systems, water chilled fan coil systems, Trane Intellipaks, air handlers, make up units and web-based control systems.
  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) refrigeration license required.
  • HVAC certification from an accredited institution required.
  • Understands fan performance curves and can make calculated adjustments to equipment to meet the building's needs.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
  • Must have a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Benefits

  • Starting pay at $38 an hour, depending on experience.
