About The Position

The position involves performing essential maintenance functions to ensure the success of Chart's operations. This includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical maintenance on all plant equipment. The role requires a thorough understanding of various maintenance processes and the ability to work in both outdoor and indoor environments.

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of maintenance troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic manufacturing equipment
• Working knowledge of 480 Volt 3 phase power, logic controllers, motor starters and variable frequency drives
• Ability to read and follow written instructions
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings and specifications
• 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience
• 2+ years of experience with CNC Machine Repair
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment desirable
• Experience with troubleshooting PLC based control systems
• Strong background in electrical troubleshooting

Nice To Haves

• Welding and fabrication skills considered a plus

Responsibilities

• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on all plant equipment
• Performs troubleshooting, problem solving, and countermeasure activities on all production and facility equipment
• Performs mechanical maintenance with frequent electrical (480V, 208V, 120V, 24VDC) and controls-related troubleshooting
• Dismantles machines or equipment using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects and repairs or replaces
• Completes daily maintenance paperwork for assigned Work Requests and Checklists
• Assists with installing conduit and wiring for new equipment installations
• Performs special duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor/Manager
