About The Position

Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with at least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Directs and leads the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to Maintenance Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Advanced to Expert Electrical Knowledge
  • Strong Mechanically ability required

  • Electrical (24v-480v AC, single phase and 3 phase power, DC voltage, Control systems, Motor controls, etc.)
  • PLC programming (creating, editing, troubleshooting programs)
  • Repairing Industrial machinery/equipment (Repair machines or systems with proper tools, parts, and safety practices)
  • Troubleshooting (Determining causes of operating errors and finding the correct solution)
  • Computers and Electronics (Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming)
  • Installation (Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications)
  • Making Decisions and Solving Problems (Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems)
  • Repairing and Maintaining Electronic Equipment (Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic principles)
  • Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates (Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person)
  • Getting Information (Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources)
  • Interacting With Computers (Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, set up functions, enter data, or process information)
  • Use of hand tools

Responsibilities

  • Analyze operation of malfunctioning electrical or electronic equipment
  • Analyze technical data, designs, or preliminary specifications
  • Calibrate or adjust electronic equipment or instruments to specification

  • Conduct sequential tests to locate electronic malfunction
  • Confer with engineering, technical or manufacturing personnel
  • Determine installation, service, or repair needed

  • Install electrical fixtures or components

  • Install or replace meters, regulators, or related measuring or control devices
  • Install/connect electrical equipment to power circuit
  • Maintain or repair industrial or related equipment/machinery
  • Modify electrical or electronic equipment or products
  • Perform safety inspections in industrial, manufacturing or repair setting
  • Plan layout of electrical/electronic equipment installation
  • Plan or organize work
  • Read work order, instructions, formulas, or processing charts
  • Repair computer controlled manufacturing systems
  • Repair electronic components, equipment, or systems
  • Repair or adjust measuring or control devices
  • Repair or replace electrical wiring, circuits, fixtures, or equipment
  • Replace electronic components
  • Solder electrical or electronic connections or components
  • Test electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, systems or fixtures
  • Test electronic or electrical circuit connections
  • Understand detailed electronic design specifications
