About The Position

The position involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on industrial machinery, equipment, and electrical systems. This includes working on conveyors, pumps, motors, heaters, and other mechanical/electrical systems. The technician will diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, respond to breakdowns and emergencies, and conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues causing equipment failures. The role also includes assisting in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and utilizing predictive maintenance techniques to monitor equipment condition. Accurate record-keeping of maintenance activities and adherence to safety protocols are essential aspects of the job.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in using maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and safety regulations.
• Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as PLCs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness and ability to work a 12 hour shift schedule with evening/weekend work.

• Assist in the installation, calibration, and setup of new equipment.
• Support the commissioning of new systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance schedules to address potential issues.
• Utilize predictive maintenance techniques to monitor equipment condition.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Identify opportunities for improving maintenance procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with production staff to provide technical support.
• Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and departments.
• Report to work on time and maintain good attendance.
