About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Technician II is an experienced maintenance professional responsible for advanced troubleshooting, complex repairs, and proactive maintenance of equipment used in paper converting operations. This role supports equipment optimization, drives reliability improvements, and mentors junior technicians.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment; paper converting or paper production preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial automation.
  • Proven proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems, PLCs, sensors, and control devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Conduct detailed inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize downtime.
  • Install, align, adjust, and commission new machinery and equipment, verifying operational accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, drives, sensors, and control circuits.
  • Calibrate, tune, and optimize equipment to meet operational specifications and quality standards.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns and prioritize repairs based on production needs.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs, work orders, and technical documentation.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to Technician I team members.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and safety teams to enhance equipment reliability and process efficiency.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including root cause analysis, equipment upgrades, and reliability initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and plant regulations.
