About this role: Assists in maintaining and repairing all facility equipment, machinery and buildings while maintaining sufficient inventory levels. Work Mode At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office five days per week.

Requirements

  • 1-2 Years with High School Diploma and/or Equivalent experience, training , or apprenticeships

Responsibilities

  • Optimizes processing reduces downtime by performing predictive and preventive maintenance on all equipment, machinery and facility buildings; participating in the installation of the new equipment as required.
  • Contributes to production efficiency by responding to maintenance calls on a 24 hour 7 days per week basis; investigates reason for call in; and either repairs or defers action for immediate supervisor or manager decision.
  • Maintains building climate by installing, repairing and servicing ventilation, heat and air conditioning systems.
  • Maintains facility lighting by installing and repairing wiring and fixture.
  • Monitors production efficiency by maintaining and analyzing a production downtime record.
  • Ensure employee safety by adhering to all Lockout Tagout procedures; following the MSDS safety procedures when using chemicals.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, secure and clean workplace by conducting daily, weekly, quarterly and semi-annual safety/maintenance inspections according to pre-established guidelines and schedules; completes related paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Contributes to accuracy of processing and product accountability by maintaining maintenance documentation and implements appropriate corrective action as needed.
  • Contributes to safe product processing by responding to any alarm conditions in an appropriate manner; reports events and activities outside normal parameters to Supervisor or Manager.
  • Maintains and advances mechanical and technical skills, knowledge and abilities by assigned training.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by monitoring environmental control systems and inspecting equipment for unsafe conditions and reporting to supervision as required; generates maintenance work orders for repairs; responds to process and equipment alarm conditions and acting within operational and safety guidelines; conducts assigned housekeeping on a daily basis.
  • Works in a safe manner and considers safety in all aspects of job.
