About The Position

Maintenance Technician II is an Electro-Mechanical position and responsibilities will include but not be limited to supporting manufacturing operations, adjusting and repairing equipment as needed, tracking usage of and ordering replacement parts.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in related field is desired
  • Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
  • Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality.
  • Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations
  • Ability to assist in Training Level I TechniciansIntermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining)
  • Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
  • Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
  • Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environment
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime as required

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
  • Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
  • Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
  • Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
  • Intermediate understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
  • Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
  • Intermediate understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
  • Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
  • Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
  • Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
  • Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
  • Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
  • Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
  • Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA
  • Train new and Level 1 mechanics in more complex tasks and skills
